Entrematic launches Kelley ArmorGuard™ dock seals designed for the most demanding loading dock environments

Entrematic (Loading Dock Products) today announced it has expanded the company’s line of Kelley loading dock seals with its new ArmorGuard™ (models ADS-HP and ADS-HC) loading dock seals.

Featuring exclusive Kelley SHARC™ (Super High Abrasion Resistant Compound) fabric, the ADS-HP and ADS-HC dock seals provide superior wear resistance and stand up over time to the most abrasive movements caused by air ride suspensions and intermodal trailers.

“Entrematic conducted extensive testing on the SHARC fabric through an independent lab and we’re excited to report that SHARC has been certified to withstand more than 40,000 abrasion cycles,” said Michael Brittingham, Manager, Marketing Services.  “This also means the SHARC fabric has up to ten times the abrasion resistance of all of the competitive fabrics tested.”

Brittingham added further, “Kelley is one of the most recognized brands in dock seals and the ArmorGuard dock seal further demonstrates Entrematic’s commitment to product quality as well as providing innovative and long-lasting products through our valued network of exclusive Kelley distributors.”

In addition to ArmorGuard’s SHARC wear resistant fabric, the ADS-HP dock seal features its exclusive Kelley Wear Master® Head Pad with a full width SHARC wear face and 4-inch exposure wear panels where the toughest contact with trailers occurs.  The head pad, which counters the prying effect of trailer movement and yard spotters, includes heat-sealed, full-length yellow guide stripes embedded in and welded (not sewn) into the SHARC fabric.

The Kelley ArmorGuard ADS-HC dock seal features the same SHARC fabric along with an EFC (Encapsulated Foam Chambers) Head Curtain with 1-inch by 3-inch chambers that provide a superior seal for trailer tops compared to standard head curtains.  Structurally, both ArmorGuard dock seals feature roll-formed, galvanized steel framing which extends loading dock seal product life and is much superior to wood construction, as well as an endurance-tested foam core that’s continuously bonded to the frame surface with a flexible, nonflammable adhesive.
